Venom Movie Update; Carnage Confirmed as Villain
August 4, 2017 By Brad Stokes
Venom very well could now be part of the MCU! (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Recently we have found out that Tom Hardy will be the actor to portray Eddie Brock aka Venom and that the film could be part of the MCU, which would make sense due to both Marvel and Sony working together on a Spiderman Homecoming trilogy.
But that’s not only the good news, now it’s been said that Carnage will be the main villain in this movie who is my personal favourite Marvel villain of all time, so I for one am very excited about this news.
Fans of the comics will know that Carnage is a much more violent and destructive symbiote than Venom so this makes me wonder if they are sticking to an R – rated movie with how brutal Carnage can be.
This would also have the potential to feature Spiderman who could team up with Venom at some point in the movie to help take down Carnage, whether this will happen or not remains to be seen but I feel it would show the link to the MCU if Tom Holland aka Spiderman made an appearance.
No hints of a plot have been shown at this time but I do have high hopes for this movie which is set to be released in October 2018.
Are you guys excited about Carnage been the choice of Villain?
