Joss Whedon’s Taken Over ‘Justice League’ Production
May 24, 2017 By Holly Clarkson
Joss Whedon has stepped up to over see the Justice League as Zack Snyder has stepped away due to a family matter.
Back in March, both Zack and his wife Deborah, lost their daughter Autumn byJ suicide. The couple took only a couple of weeks off from the movie to grieve however it seems they have realised they need more time to deal with such a tragedy. Zack has been quoted saying: “In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was the way through it, The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realization … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me.”
The news has been kept away from the press understandably until now, Joss Whedon has said he will continue to over see the post-production of the film as filming has finished, besides a handful of re-shoots. The film is still due to be released on November 17th 2017.
Our thoughts go out to Zack and his Family.
