The 5 Best Superhero Video Games Ever
February 28, 2017
We love all things superhero related and it will come as no surprise that we also love playing on themed games too. We’ve compiled a list of our top five of these games, so you don’t need to look far to start playing!
Batman Arkham Asylum
Let’s face it, we’ve seen Batman in just about every shape and form; from the campy Adam West version to the brooding Ben Affleck portrayal. The Arkham Asylum game just has this portrayal down to a tee, with the perfect mixture of dark characters and interesting themes.
If you’re a completionist then you’ll love finding all the hidden trophies and missions that this game has to offer. Riddler trophies and collectables are everywhere in this game, giving it much more staying power in the long run.
Most western kids were introduced to the character of Viewtiful Joe through the cartoon series that debuted in the early 2000s. Back then it was a long wait from week to week to find out what would happen to the hero in the next episode. Thankfully, the Gamecube game came along to ease that suspense.
This really started off the wave of super stylised comic book games, as it went down such a treat with fans. This is a timeless classic and really a cornerstone of what made the Gamecube so successful.
Superhero Slot Games
If you like to gamble while you play then some of the best bingo sites, such as the ones listed on www.bingosweets.com, have superhero themed slots to play on. These include slots based on Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and even their own inventions.
These games on bingo sites not only let you experience the superhero story, you can also win cash by playing them.
Lego Marvel Superheroes
The thing that gets us about the Lego franchise is the humour, as seen in the latest Lego Batman movie. They can take mute characters and make them incredibly funny, with some serious action thrown in too. They create the ideal environment for gamers, challenging them to play the full story but also making it easy to dip in and out of.
The Easter Eggs within the game will keep you amused and the whole thing is just a great incarnation of some of our favourite heroes.
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
This game was simply made for co-op, with a team system that made playing together fun. The solo mode was great too but the team mode was really what made this game stand out. It offers a no holds barred action fest that will draw in even the most hard core Marvel fan.
While this game had a great cast of heroes, it also had a brilliant cast of villains to battle your way through too. Even years after its release, this game has a place in our hearts.
There are so many superhero themed games so we’re sure we’ve missed a few cult classics, leave us a comment below and let us know your favourites.
