Could Tom Hardy Be Our Next ‘Bond’?
January 17, 2017 By Holly Clarkson
For a die hard Bond fan who loves the films as well as the original books by Ian Fleming and melts when ever Tom Hardy appears on screen, this bit of news has really got my elbow tingling.
Tom was recently asked during an interview about the Bond rumours. Michael Fassbender as well as Idris Elba are still fan favourites but this specific comment has got the internet buzzing. In by trying to avoid getting his name mixed with Bonds, he has managed to do the opposite, sorry Tom.
When asked whether there was any truth to the rumours he said: “There’s a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting that if you talk about it you’re automatically out of the race. So I can’t possibly comment on that one!
By not talking about it you get the media and fans suspicious Tom! He did however comment on the knowledge that Christopher Nolan, who Tom worked with in The Dark Knight Rises, is a possible new Director for the 25th Bond film:
“But Chris Nolan, what a fantastic director for a Bond movie. Because Daniel [Craig] is so good, and what [Sam] Mendes and Barbara [Broccoli] have done has been so impressive, that it would be a very hard reimagination to follow. I wonder what the next instalment of that franchise would become, and I think when you mention someone like Christopher Nolan, that’s a very powerful figure to bring into that world who could bring something new and create something profound – again.”
He seems quite interested, I could see Nolan and Tom working together on this very special 25th Bond movie, can you? I mean he is one of the best looking men in a suit and tie, thats a big tick right?
