Arrow: Vengeance Beginning an All-New Series of Arrow Novels
February 24, 2016 By Holly Clarkson
“Arrow is a darkly gleaming gem.”—The Philadelphia Inquirer
In the Warner Bros. Television series Arrow, which is based on the DC Comics character, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is lost at sea. Stranded for years on a remote island, he returns home and secretly creates the persona of The Arrow to right the wrongs of his family and fight injustice in his city. But others work in the shadows to plot his downfall.
Another survivor of the island is Queen’s onetime friend, now sworn enemy Slade Wilson. Engineering Oliver’s ultimate demise, Wilson recruits Isabel Rochev, whose hatred for the Queen family knows no bounds. At the same time, rising politician Sebastian Blood, while seeking to do what is right, also finds himself inextricably tangled in Wilson’s machinations.
Arrow: Vengeance is the in-depth story behind the dangerous rivalry between Slade Wilson (aka Deathstroke) and The Arrow. From Titan Books in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products comes the first novel based on the hit
Warner Bros. series (which airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW in the U.S.). Authored by two of the show’s writers, Oscar Balderrama and Lauren Certo, the book contains many of the iconic DC Comics characters and the heart-pounding action that delights comic book and television fans alike.
Further novels in the series will continue to explore the world of Arrow – including a dramatic crossover featuring Oliver’s staunch ally Barry Allen, also known as The Flash.
Currently in its fourth season, Arrow is an award winning television series that is produced by Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl, Blindspot), Marc Guggenheim (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Wendy Mericle (Smallville, Eli Stone) and Sarah Schechter (Blindspot, The Mysteries of Laura). Starring Stephen Amell (Private Practice), Katie Cassidy (Gossip Girl, Supernatural), David Ramsey (Dexter, Blue Bloods), Willa Holland (Gossip Girl, The O.C.) and Emily Bett Rickards (Flicka: Country Pride) with John Barrowman (Torchwood, Doctor Who) and Paul Blackthorne (The River, The Gates). The second season also featured Manu Bennett (Lord of the Rings films, Spartacus) as Slade Wilson, Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) as Isabel Rochev and Kevin Alejandro (Lucifer, Southland) as Sebastian Blood. Produced by Bonanza Productions, Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, the first season reached an average of 3.2 million viewers in the US and is currently enjoying great success in its fourth season. Airing Wednesdays at 8 on CTV in Canada and returning on March 2 to Sky1 in the UK, the series is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
