Assassin’s Creed Images Released
January 4, 2016 By Jon Somers
The new issue of Empire is proud to debut a pair of exclusive stills from the movie showing Fassbender’s two characters, 15th-century swordsman Aguilar and his modern-day ancestor Callum Lynch.
Lynch (below), the equivalent of the game’s Desmond Miles, a man forced to relive his ancestor’s exploits via a VR machine called the Animus. Those familiar with the game will know how this works but for those who aren’t here is my best shot at explaining it.
DNA not only holds the code for life and variations in species it also has the ability to store memories of our ancestors. The Animus allows the user to relive the memories of our ancestors, In this case Lynch who has a long line of assassin ancestors.
It’s a true to say that there’s never been a successful video-game adaption. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Silent Hill and Prince of Persia had its moments but you wouldn’t re-watch any of these. Assassins Creed success however is down to its well thought out and exciting story line so it has the potential to make the transition to the big screen, if done right.
What do you make of this, let us know below.
