Daredevil Episodes 4-6 Review
April 14, 2015 By Joe Solomon
Netflix’s “Daredevil” started off extremely strong, and I was skeptical that it could continue its hot streak. My fears were immediately resolved, as episodes 4-6 were just as good as the first three, if not better. Episodes 1-3 focused on Daredevil (duh), but episodes 4-6 seem to focus more on the overarching villain of the series, Wilson Fisk. Goymer Pyle I MEAN Vincent D’Onofrio delivers a knockout performance as the Kingpin. In his debut episode he acts like a sweet and understanding Crime Boss. It ends with him bashing someone’s head until it explodes. D’Onofrio captures the perfect mix of rage and coolness that composes the Kingpin.
These three episodes capture the gang war between Fisk and the Russians. We get to see how much of a master manipulator Fisk is and how he easily controls the chess board that is Hells Kitchen. The feud between the Russians and Daredevil is settled nicely, as the Russian Arc comes down to an epic finale. Also, an update on support characters, Foggy becomes slightly less annoying and looks like he’ll be more of use in upcoming episodes. He’s no Jon Favreau, but he will do. With six episodes down, it still looks like this show will be one of the mega hits of 2015. Hopefully we get a Jessica Jones tie in at some point, because I can’t wait to see how this all connects into the season of The Defenders. What a time to be alive. Episodes 4-6 also get a perfect 10/10. KEEP WATCHING. Unless you’re Daredevil. Awkward.
