Winter is coming… at the Tower of London.
February 22, 2015 By Jon Somers
The fifth season premiere of Game of Thrones will be held at the Tower of London and can you think of a more fitting venue. With the bloody violent history of the tower it makes it the perfect venue for the premier for a season that sees westeros on the brink.
The tower has been seen as a lynchpin for controlling England in the Middle Ages. It started life as a castle built by William the Conqueror in 1078 but it is perhaps
Most famous for its prison duties and has seen its fair share of bloody executions, fitting for a show with the odd death or two.
But the biggest news isn’t the location, it’s actually the date. This world premiere will take place on March 18, nearly a full month before the U.S. premiere on April 12. How on earth are those in attendance supposed to keep a lid on spoilers?
Fancy going? Well Sky, The British partners for the HBO show will be offering 24 ticket in a competition to which the details are yet to be announced.
