Pixie’s Postcards: On London Stage for Christmas Time
December 1, 2014 By Pixie Le Knot
The last month has been crazy but amazing!
I attended Preston Comicon which was so much fun. I met some amazing acting legends including Norman Lovett (Holly in Red Dwarf), who was absolutely hilarious and just like his character Holly!
I completed shooting feature film ‘My Feral Heart.’ It was the most incredible experience and I am so sad that it’s over. The playbacks I have seen are so beautiful and I’m so excited to see the final film. The aim is for it to be released on World Down Syndrome Day. I’m currently not allowed to say too much about my character as it will ruin the surprise of the film. The lead actor Steven Brandon had Down Syndrome. Steven is the loveliest most caring and funny man you could hope to work with and made sure there was never a dull moment. The other two talented principal characters who I was also very lucky to work with were played by Shana Swash (Eastenders) and Will Rastall (Game Of Thrones, Hollyoaks).
I also finished shooting ITV’s ‘Get Your Act Together’ with Emmerdale’s Roxy Shahidi. Unfortunately I can’t say too much about it now but the show will be aired on ITV1 in January and I’m very excited about it.
I filmed ‘The Twisted Killer,’ a short superhero film I played the lead part of Sophie Woods ‘Knight Girl’. The film was so much fun to shoot and I got to wear a very cool costume. We filmed some unique exciting fight scenes which used my unusual physicality. This is my first film where I have had a substantial amount of dialogue. It should hopefully be released before the end of the year!
So many amazing things have happened in the last month but now things have calmed down a bit and I am playing ‘Gerda’ in an acrobatic version of ‘The Snow Queen’ at ‘Palace Of The Snow Queen’ in North London. I’m really enjoying it and it’s lovely to be back on the stage but I’m eager to get more films lined up as I have had such an incredible time.
I opened my advent calendar today, hope everyone is as excited about Christmas as I am!
Lots of Love
