Fan Starts Petition to get Spider-Man in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War
December 12, 2014 By Holly Clarkson
Recent rumours have come out about how Marvel and Sony have had talks about potentially bringing in Spider-Man to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War.
It seems that Sony have completely shut down the idea and even though Marvel offered all rights to stay with Sony, they aren’t interested in lending Spider-Man to Marvel for this movie. A fan has took a stand against Sony’s choice and has started his own petition on Change.org to try and get Sony to collaborate with Marvel.
To right as well, any Spider-Man fan will know that he is a big part of the Civil War storyline, as are all the Marvel characters. Josh Pendarvis from the United States has already got over 10,000 people to sign his petition. Check out his short but sweet write up for the petition:
Sony recently declined the opportunity to include Spiderman in the upcoming civil war movie, in which he plays a major role, and in a new franchise in which Sony would have distribution rights and creative input. This is a petition to try and attempt to show Sony how much the fans care and want a change.
Agree with Josh, then make sure you sign the petition, whether or not Sony pay any attention to it, at least it shows that fans do want spider-man in that film: www.change.org/p/sony-collaborate-with-marvel-in-regards-to-the-spiderman-franchise
