Avengers 3 could be split into two movies
September 30, 2014 By Paul Friend
The highly-anticipated Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron, isn’t even out yet, but the internet is already ablaze with rumours about the third film in Marvel’s mega-franchise.
Daily Marvelite reports that Avengers 3 may follow the recent trend (see Harry Potter and The Hunger Games) and be split into two films. Lots of speculation on this one, with rumours that the first part of the ‘threequel’ will pit the Avengers team against Thanos as expected – with the second part possibly featuring a ‘merging of brands’ for the final showdown.
So, some kind of Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy/Inhumans crossover? Fans have long been clamouring for it – and now it seems it just may happen.
This seems to chime with something Vin Diesel let slip a few months ago too. The voice of Groot said: “A great meeting. It was even talking about something so big I can’t even talk about because it’s like the merging of brands in a way, which I won’t get into. That was something way, way, way, way, way down the road.”
One things for sure, if you’ve read the classic Infinity Gauntlet comic series, you’ll know that Captain America and co will need all the help they can get if they’re to bring down the Mad Titan.
