Some Lesser Known Facts About Your Favourite Superheroes

Marvel and DC claim the trademark on the word ‘Superhero.’
After registering the term ‘Superhero’ in the 1960’s Marvel and DC have maintained their claim on their ‘Superhero’ trademark ever since, and that includes any way you want to spell it. Marvel and DC often send cease and desist letters to smaller comic publishers even though there is some debate as to whether it is valid to trademark the word ‘Superhero.’
Superman was originally a bold Megalomaniac obsessed with world domination.
Superman’s creators Jerry Segal and Joe Shuster originally planned that the Superman would be a bold telepathic scientist obsessed with world domination. This all changed when they found a publisher in Action Comics and Superman became the character we know today, A broad shouldered, muscular good guy with a full head of hair.
The Hulk was meant to be Grey.
Although everybody knows this ‘lesser known fact’ it’s still interesting that the iconic green Hulk was originally grey. Stan Lee always wanted the Hulk to be grey and so he was in his first comic appearance in 1962. It was only due to printing inconsistencies that the Hulk became green.
Wolverine is a genius.
That’s right. According to his Marvel biography because of his healing powers Wolverine ages slowly and this means he has lived in parts of three centuries allowing him to gain knowledge. According to the biography he is fluent in Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Lakota and Spanish. He is also a trained expert in computer systems, weapons as well as a master of every fighting style.
