Diary of the Invasion Review
January 29, 2013 By Holly Clarkson
Comic Review..Diary of the Invasion
It was the artwork which drew me to this comic. I saw the splash page and finished up reading the whole thing. Although I broadly enjoyed the book I think the art work is the best of it.
That is not to say the story is poor. The concept is interesting but a little derivative and although I liked the characters and the dialogue I got the feeling it was a story that had already been told.
The story is too big for the book and a graphic novel format would have done it more justice. I’m not quite sure who the target audience is but my advice always to writers is; Choose an audience and hit them right between the eyes, hard, with something they haven’t seen before. Be brave, daring, provocative or downright shocking. Diary of the Invasion is a good comic book, beautifully drawn but it is no Kickass.
